چکیده
Anti-NOR90 antibodies are usually found in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc); however, their clinical relevance remains obscure. We previously developed an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for measuring them to investigate the features of anti-NOR90 antibodies. As we additionally obtained antibody-positive serum samples after our previous research, reexamined significance Serum from 1,296 various conditions Nagoya University Hospital were included. assayed by ELISA using recombinant protein produced vitro transcription/translation. Eight (0.6%) had One patient diffuse cutaneous SSc, 5 limited SSc (lcSSc), and 2 Raynaud’s disease positive more frequently scleroderma-spectrum disorders (SSDs) than without SSDs (8/328 vs 0/968, P<0.00002) (6/259 0/544, P<0.002) autoimmune rheumatic cohort. Among 6 anti-NOR90-positive 4 cancer 3 interstitial lung (ILD). Statistically significant difference prevalence neither nor ILD was between -negative patients, lcSSc (3/5 28/147, P<0.058) relatively detected patients. Further research a great number sera antibodies, especially is needed elucidate

Statistical analysis of clinical and laboratory characteristics of systemic sclerosis
Background: Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is an autoimmune connective tissue disease characterized by vasculopathy and excessive collagen deposition in the skin and internal organs. Based on the skin damage we divide the patients into two groups: limited and diffuse SSc. In restricted type, the thickness of the skin is limited in the face and distal parts of the elbows and knees, with less involveme...

OBJECTIVES Inflammatory myopathies are a group of idiopathic, heterogeneous systemic diseases affecting predominantly skeletal muscles, though they can also involve the skin and internal organs. The association between cancer and idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, particularly dermatomyositis, which is termed cancer-associated myositis (CAM), has been reported in the medical literature. A newl...
متن کاملAnti-HMGCR antibodies in systemic sclerosis
The objective of this study was to investigate the frequency of autoantibodies to hydroxymethylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase (HMGCR) in systemic sclerosis (SSc) and associations with inflammatory myositis and statin exposure. This was a cross-sectional, multicenter study of 306 subjects from the Canadian Scleroderma Research Group cohort who had complete data on statin exposure and serology for ...
متن کاملAnti-fibrillarin antibodies in systemic sclerosis.
OBJECTIVES To investigate the nature and extent of organ involvement in anti-fibrillarin antibody (AFA)-positive patients within a UK systemic sclerosis (SSc) population. METHODS We investigated 1026 consecutive patients with SSc. AFA was identified by the characteristic clumpy nucleolar and coilin body pattern of staining in interphase cells and staining of fibrillarin in metaphase cells by ...
متن کاملAnti-Annexin V Antibodies: Association with Vascular Involvement and Disease Outcome in Patients with Systemic Sclerosis
BACKGROUND Systemic Sclerosis (SSc) is characterized by skin thickening, fibrosis and vascular obliteration. The onset and course are heterogeneous. Prominent features include autoimmunity, inflammation and vascular damage. AIM OF STUDY To measure the level of serum Anti-Annexin V antibodies in SSc patients and to study its significance in relation to vascular damage in these patients. PATI...
